Stuart is a Partner in Simpson Grierson's Taxation Group.  In addition, he is a member of the firm's Corporate Group - specialist corporate and securities lawyers providing strategic advice on high-profile and complex transactions.

Stuart's taxation practice includes advising on investment into and out of New Zealand, structured financing proposals, acquisitions and divestments, taxation disputes, GST (the New Zealand value added tax), and accident compensation (the New Zealand compulsory accident insurance scheme).

He has been involved in advising the New Zealand Government on its introduction of dividend imputation and international tax changes - both at a policy and legislation preparation level.  He has also advised on other legislative drafting.
