Tracey is a Partner in the Litigation Department.
Tracey has broad experience in commercial disputes including injunctive and other urgent relief. She appears in the High Court (including the Commercial List), Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court and in mediations and arbitrations. She has also appeared in the Court of Appeal of Samoa, the Cook Islands High Court and as junior counsel in the Privy Council.
Tracey's specialist areas are the enforcement of intellectual property rights and all aspects of communications, advertising and media law with a focus on defamation, contempt, suppression, privacy, Broadcasting Standards and advertising compliance issues. Tracey has spent more than 10 years acting for the broadcast media and for claimants in defamation claims.
She has also acted in complex commercial fraud cases, contractual disputes, minority shareholder claims, insider trading claims, international arbitration, insurance contract disputes and has advised clients in numerous disputes with the Crown in connection with mineral and fisheries resources.
