Corporate INTL magazine has named Simpson Grierson Law Firm of the Year in New Zealand across five categories at their Legal 2010 Awards, which recognise excellence in the world's leading legal advisers.

An established monthly title for business leaders, professional advisers and providers of finance throughout the world, Corporate INTL said the 2010 Awards "commemorate firms who have shown excellence not only in expertise but in service and during a difficult global economic downturn."

Simpson Grierson was named Law Firm of the Year in New Zealand in five categories:

• Banking & Finance
• Dispute Resolution Advisory
• Mergers & Acquisitions
• Product Liability
• Tax

Law firms were shortlisted for the annual Awards after detailed research by an independent team that analysed service range, business type, geographical location, business operation, and the expertise offered to companies that trade or seek to trade in their jurisdiction. Shortlisted firms were then reviewed by an independent awards panel.
