Firm Wins Banking and Finance Law Award

Simpson Grierson partner Peter Ferguson was delighted to accept the Banking and Finance Law Award on behalf of the firm at the 2011 New Zealand Law Awards held at the Viaduct Events Centre on Thursday, 10 November.

The awards are determined by nominations and votes from the top 300 companies in New Zealand, with businesses being given the opportunity to vote online for the law firm or in-house legal team they believe provided excellence in client service.

Simpson Grierson partner and head of banking and finance, Andrew Harkness says "We are very pleased that we have been able to assist our clients with their banking matters particularly, in these challenging and uncertain economic times. We strive to add value to our clients' businesses and to assist them in a small way to achieve their business needs.

It was also very pleasing to see our clients Auckland Council and Westpac New Zealand Limited as finalists in the In-house Counsel Team of the Year Award, as they have had very full work schedules and have each accomplished some significant objectives in the past year."
