13 February 2009: Simpson Grierson senior associate Greg Allan and associate Man Sum Chiu were part of a mixed team that scooped the cup at North Shore City Council's Mayoral Cup Charity Golf Tournament held at North Shore City's Takapuna Golf Course yesterday.

More than 60 participants joined co-hosts Mayor Andrew Williams and the Korean Society of New Zealand for this annual invitation-only event, which raised funds for North Shore youth initiatives.

As a gold sponsor, Simpson Grierson sent along a strong golfing contingent, that also included partner Paddy McNamara and senior associate Hugh Thompson, to compete on what was the hottest day in the Auckland region for more than 130 years.

Mayor Williams thanked the generosity of the many North Shore and Auckland companies/organisations who donated funds and items to be auctioned at the tournament, which raised $19,000. These funds will go towards a Mayoral Youth Trust Fund established by Mayor Williams.
