Neil is a Partner in Simpson Grierson's Corporate/Commercial Group.

Neil advises clients on a wide range of corporate/commercial matters including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, securities issuance, commercial contracts, competition law, business structures, corporate and business affairs, foreign investment and superannuation.

Neil has advised international airlines on many aspects of aviation law including the establishment of on-line operations to and from New Zealand; and acted for Continental Airlines, American Airlines and United Airlines prior to their terminating their on-line operations to and from New Zealand.  He has advised on all aspects of superannuation law having been the principal legal adviser to the NZ Steel Pension Fund for more than 20 years and the O-I Retirement & Savings Scheme for more than 10 years.  Neil also has significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry and continues to act for Bristol-Myers Squibb, Merck Sharp & Dohme and Novartis.  He has advised many multinational companies on the implementation of their international ESPPs and ESOPs in New Zealand.
