Banking and Finance Insolvency Security Enforcement
Michael Robinson is a commercial litigator in Simpson Grierson's Banking and Finance Department. Michael has a broad range of mediation, arbitration and litigation experience. He regularly appears as counsel in the courts at all levels.
His clients include banks, corporates, financial institutions and insolvency practitioners. He advises on contract and commercial disputes, security enforcement, liquidation and receiverships, fraud, priority disputes and the regulation of New Zealand's banking and financial sectors. Recently he has advised the receivers of the Seamart Group of companies, the liquidators of the HIH Group in New Zealand and he was counsel in Sleepyhead Manufacturing Co Limited v Dunphy.
