Peter is a Partner in Simpson Grierson's Banking and Finance Department.

For the past 20 years, Peter's primary practice area has been that of acting for banks in the funding of major property developments and investment properties throughout New Zealand. He has also during that time acted for banks in the business banking and corporate banking areas including project finance and syndicated loan facilities  In 2005, Peter presented a paper on Development Funding in New Zealand at the Banking and Financial Services Law and Practice Conference in Australia.

Peter is Chairman of the Board of Governors of King’s College and of Independent Schools of New Zealand.
