Michael is a specialist construction and infrastructure projects lawyer in our Resource and Infrastructure department.  He provides advice in relation to both the contentious and non-contentious aspects of construction and infrastructure projects. 

Michael is also an experienced commercial litigator and has a successful track record in acting for construction and property clients in arbitration, mediation and more traditional forms of dispute resolution.  He regularly represents clients in courts of all levels throughout New Zealand. 

Michael also has expert knowledge on the Construction Contracts Act 2002.  He has extensive experience in acting for Principal's, Contractors and Subcontractors in relation to adjudication proceedings and payment disputes.  Michael also advises Territorial Authorities and commercial clients on Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) and other joint venture structures for infrastructure projects.

Michael assists the construction industry with the implementation of the new Building Act regime and has helped train the staff of New Zealand's largest construction companies, architects, financiers and the legal profession on the impacts of the new Building Act 2004.
