Charlotte is a senior associate in Simpson Grierson's Corporate Group, a team of specialist corporate and securities lawyers within the firm's commercial department. She advises on all aspects of New Zealand corporate, securities, takeovers and commercial law and regulation, as well as managing corporate transactions at all levels (for listed and unlisted companies, private equity firms and local authorities).
Charlotte previously worked in London for Lovells, one of Europe's largest law firms. There she was involved in everything from M & A and capital raising transactions to advising listed and unlisted UK and European companies, including major European private equity funds, on a full range of corporate and securities law and regulatory issues.

- Old Fashioned Foods Ltd's sale of its Baker Halls (fruit cordials) business to Coca Cola Amatil (NZ) Limited (February 2009)
- Camm 4 Ltd's (a private equity fund investee company) NZ$10.5million acquisition of the Shears & Mak shop-fitting business (April 2008)
- Auckland City Council's multi-billion dollar Auckland waterfront (Wynyard Point) redevelopment project (July 2007)*
- NZX-listed Methven Ltd's NZ$52 million acquisition of UK based Deva Tap Company Ltd and associated NZ$15 million rights issue and institutional offer (July 2007)
- Old Fashioned Foods Ltd's NZ$32 million acquisition of Hansells, and associated capital raising process
- Advising various New Zealand, Australian and other offshore prospective buyers funds in recent New Zealand-based competitive bid processes
- Led the IPO of Methven Limited in December 2004, and acted for Pumpkin Patch Limited in its June 2004 IPO
