Nikki has worked in employment law in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom for more than eight years.  Nikki's work experience in the United Kingdom involved dealing with employment law issues across a number of jurisdictions, including advising on international restructuring processes and international employment policies and bonus schemes.

She advises on all areas of employment law including personal grievances, Holidays Act issues, restructuring and business sales, and bargaining and other union issues. 
Nikki's work involves providing legal opinions, drafting employment agreements, employment policies and bonus/incentive schemes, due diligence and dispute resolution. 

Nikki regularly attends mediations and investigation meetings in the Employment Relations Authority on behalf of clients. 

• One-year secondment as the in-house employment lawyer for Morgan Stanley in London, with responsibility for Morgan Stanley's UK and European operations
• Supporting counsel in several major cases before the full Employment Court regarding union and good faith issues, including Toll NZ Consolidated Ltd v Rail & Maritime Transport Union (2004), and Assn of University Staff v Vice-Chancellor of the University of Auckland (2005)
• Acted for a number of publicly listed companies such as Toll and Restaurant Brands in personal grievance claims in the Employment Relations Authority
• Assisted in several major commercial transactions, including the purchase by Oracle of the Peoplesoft business worldwide
