We have 3 articles for this issue.
If you are engaging consultants, contractors or advisers to provide input into your business, it is important to ensure that you take steps to adequately protect commercially sensitive information of your business. In our first article Simon Vannini and Karen Ngan outline some situations in which you should be ensuring your business has appropriate confidentiality protection, and the issues you need to consider in relation to such protection.
Next, in 'Intellectual Property: Customise Your Protection: Filing Customs Notices in New Zealand', we look at whether your business is susceptible to attack from the importation of counterfeit or pirated goods. Richard Watts and Emma Shearing examine the benefits to intellectual property rights holders of filing a customs notice with the New Zealand Customs Service as this can be an efficient and cost effective method to combat the risks of border infringement.
This month we also have an article from a guest author - Dr Clive Trotman, from Dispute Science Limited. Clive examines the complexities and issues surrounding using DNA as evidence.
Finally, later this month Simpson Grierson will be hosting an event of the ICT Cluster, Craig Meek of iVistra (and founder of Terrabyte Interactive and Virtual Spectator) will be speaking to ICT Cluster members and guests of Simpson Grierson.
