Government Processes
We have the largest public law practice of any law firm in New Zealand. But what really sets us apart are the legal specialists who operate within it. No other group has the scope of knowledge on the range of issues faced by local government.
Our public law specialists have decades of experience in dealing with government decision-making processes. We act for numerous local authorities, public bodies, and business clients and assist them in their dealings with central government. Our specialists have also assisted government departments and agencies with legislative drafting and have worked with those responsible for shaping and reforming policy.
Our connections with prime movers in government circles, and the market profile of our public law practice, has seen government take note of our views on policy and legislative developments. We can provide an effective route to raise issues with government, either directly or through our relationship with Local Government New Zealand (LGNZ).
