Welcome to the September 2016 edition of Aluminate – the Simpson Grierson alumni newsletter.

2016 has been another strong year for the firm, with a range of great work around the firm.

In this issue we update you on our work on the Auckland City Rail Link, the Auckland Unitary Plan and the Christchurch District Plan Review. These are three of the most significant projects being undertaken in New Zealand, and involve large teams from across the firm. It's great that we are heavily involved in initiatives central to New Zealand's future growth and development.

We also provide a snapshot of the corporate deals we have been working on, along with an overview of how we have been assisting the New Zealand Olympic Committee and Paralympics New Zealand.

We also feature an interview with Kitty Lin, a former associate, who used the skills gained from Simpson Grierson to open a café in Auckland. We wish her all the best with her new venture.

As many of you will be aware, earlier this year, following a tragic accident, Wayne Browne passed away. Wayne was a wonderful partner and person, and his passing has been deeply felt. Thank you to numerous alumni who sent messages of support...all of which have been passed to Wayne's partner Jo.
