Corporate deals a plenty

Our corporate teams have had a busy year advising on a string of high profile deals. Stand-outs include:

• the acquisition, by investment manager Warren Couillault and others, of the majority of Macquarie Group's New Zealand retail wealth management business
• the acquisition of Panhead Brewery by Lion
• New Zealand aspects of Toshiba Corporation's sale of its medical business to Canon Inc
• the restructure of the ownership of Enable Networks Limited, one of the local fibre companies responsible for the roll-out of ultra-fast broadband
• the demerger of NZX listed Trustpower into two entities.
