Louise Taylor

Louise is a special counsel in the firm's commercial group, specialising in all aspects of technology law.

She has 20 years' experience in New Zealand and in the United Kingdom, advising on a wide range of general commercial and technology-related projects, contracts and compliance issues for customers and suppliers in the public and private sectors. Louise’s project and contract expertise includes small to large-scale service supply and outsourcing contracts; technology development and licensing agreements; system supply and integration agreements; hosting, support and maintenance contracts; and SaaS agreements.

Louise has worked on many business transformation programmes and other business critical technology projects involving the supply of core solutions, infrastructure, and services.

She also advises on technology-related and online compliance issues, including those relating to the introduction of new products and services in New Zealand. Louise has a particular interest in new and emerging technologies, and has written and spoken widely in both the UK and in New Zealand on artificial intelligence, the internet of things, big data, cloud/fog computing, quantum computing, drones, and other technology trends. She is the Deputy Chair of the AI Forum New Zealand.
