Partners John Shackleton and Tim Stephens lead the Wellington Commercial Litigation team.  The team acts for large corporate, state sector and local government clients.  Their expertise covers energy, networks and utilities; financial services; insolvency; trade practices and commercial property.  They also specialise in advising on regulatory issues and judicial review, and regularly represent clients in the courts, arbitrations, mediations and negotiations in a wide variety of commercial and public law disputes.  

We are seeking a solicitor with 5 plus years' relevant experience with the ability to work under pressure and make an impact in a high performing environment.

Legal Administrators – permanent and fixed term,  Auckland

Over the next few months we need to recruit legal administrators for our Auckland office.   As a legal administrator you are part of a multi-skilled team.  You are tasked with assisting the firm to meet its business goals by providing administrative support to our authors and partners.  The 'hub' model enables you to work closely with the other legal administrators to provide support firm-wide and to each other.  A  hub is generally made up of three or four legal administrators providing support to a number of legal teams.  While you will spend most of your time providing support to the legal teams within your hub's vicinity, it is expected that you will extend support to other hubs across all three offices if the need arises.
 
The successful candidates will have 5-7 years legal secretarial or personal assistant in a legal or corporate role.  Experience in diary management, filing, archiving, travel coordination, client management, opening and closing matters, and billing is desired.   High standards and a proven track record of achieving excellence in all aspects of your work is a must.
