Private equity transactions
We're also looking for lawyers to join our commercial team, specialising in ICT and infrastructure/utilities work. As well as some general corporate law experience, candidates should have experience in:
Negotiating and drafting commercial contracts
Joint ventures and PPP arrangements
Large scale out-sourcing and the procurement of business critical IT systems and services

Commercial Associate – Food and Beverage – New Zealand or Australia
Our commercial sales and marketing team is trying to pin down a lawyer with at least five years' experience to join its team. We're looking for someone who has specific experience in the food and beverage sector, as well as complementary general commercial experience.
The ideal candidate would have a nutrition or other scientific qualification (in addition to their law degree) and be comfortable providing advice on consumer protection law, marketing and promotions and food and beverage law. We'd like you to be able to build a strong business, work independently, and handle some pressure every now and again.
The unique thing about this opportunity is you have the ability to choose where you want to work – whether in New Zealand or Australia. So long as you are admitted to practice in either of these countries, we'll make the rest work.

Employment Senior Associate / Associate - Auckland and Wellington
We're looking for an employment lawyer to join our busy employment team in either Auckland or Wellington. The role involves a mix of litigation and transactional work and you can expect to act for clients in mediations, the Employment Relations Authority and the Employment Court regularly. Ideally, you'll have health and safety experience too. What we really want to see is someone who can hit the ground running, turn work around quickly and wants to deliver the best to the client every time. You'll be working with an amazing and fun team of lawyers and will be given the responsibility you need to take your skills to the next level.
Resource Management Associate – Christchurch
Our Christchurch resource management team is on the hunt for a lawyer with around five years' experience to join its team. The team is super busy at the moment so there is a great opportunity for someone who's looking for challenging work that will take their skills to the next level. You'll be working closely with a senior associate and associate in the Christchurch office, with support from the national resource management teams and the wider Christchurch office.
We're looking for someone with experience in resource management and preferably local government law, including particular experience in RMA planning (either plan change or district plan review work). We'd like you to have advocacy experience and, if we're lucky, this advocacy experience would be in planning or consenting/development or construction work before local authorities and the Environment Court.
As well as these specific skills, we want someone who's fabulous at client relationships, who's going to stand behind their advice and who has the ability to provide clients with efficient and innovative service every time.

Tax Associate - Auckland
How much do you know about tax? Enough to put your skills to good use in one of New Zealand's leading tax law teams? Our team is on the hunt for a tax solicitor with around 4 years' experience to join its team. You'll be working closely with two partners and two senior associates, researching and solving complex tax issues and advising clients on the conclusions that you've reached. As well as this, you will help out our transactional lawyers on the tax aspects of transactions they are handling and work with our litigation lawyers when a tax dispute arises.
All of these responsibilities means you have exposure to many different parts of the firm, meeting our brilliant people and learning from the best. You'll also be exposed to clients in a variety of sectors and areas, including financial institutions, local corporates and overseas investors and local and central government.
