This role requires a senior commercial lawyer with proven experience running large and complex transactions.  Experience in corporate, ICT, financial services (including managed funds) and/or insurance would be an advantage. Mandarin speaking associate
Our team is regularly working for significant Chinese clients investing in New Zealand so we are seeking a fluent Chinese language speaking corporate lawyer to join our team. In addition to operating as an intermediate corporate lawyer you will be called on to provide written and verbal interpretation for these clients in particular. Your language skills will need to include written and verbal Mandarin (Cantonese will be a bonus), ideally with sound business vocabulary.
Top tier corporate associate

Given the level of transactions our team are involved in, we are seeking a strong corporate lawyer who can get involved in all aspects of corporate work including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, public takeovers, private equity and other corporate finance work.
You will need to be  intellectually agile, commercially astute to join this award winning team.  You will need to have four years post qualification experience.

Legal Administrator: Current Opportunities

Simpson Grierson is currently looking for an outstanding legal administrator who has a strong service orientation and work ethic to fill our current vacancy in our Auckland office:

  • Legal Administrator, Employment, PA support to two partners.  Fixed term role to December 2015. Thursday/Friday job-share role.

The successful candidate will need to be an energetic, driven and focused individual who is polished and self-assured. You will need to have a high degree of confidentiality, be able to interact and build relationships with our clients, and have excellent technical and administration skills.

You will be a self-starter who is resourceful and has the proven ability to bring an energetic, professional approach to supporting the managers and their wider teams. You will also be part of our 'hub' model which enables you to be supported and work closely with the other legal administrators.
