We’re pleased to congratulate special counsel David Cochrane on his appointment to the inaugural board of the New Zealand Infrastructure Commission, Te Waihanga.

A member of our resources and infrastructure group, David has over 40 years’ experience in central government and private practice, including drafting law in New Zealand and overseas. He has advised on the implementation of government policy in a range of areas including local government, transport, government administration, primary industry and health.

David will join other board members, Dr Alan Bollard (chairperson), Raveen Jaduram, Sarah Sinclair, Stephen Selwood, and Sue Tindal. John Grayson has been appointed as the Commission’s chief executive.

The Government has tasked the Infrastructure Commission with two broad functions: strategy and planning of infrastructure throughout New Zealand, and support and promotion of best practice for infrastructure delivery.
