Alice specialises in large and complex commercial disputes across a range of different sectors.

Alice has experience advising on a broad range of commercial litigation, and all other forms of dispute resolution, with a focus on contractual disputes and company and directors’ duties litigation. 

Prior to joining Simpson Grierson, Alice worked at Herbert Smith Freehills in London.

Alice is a member of the Auckland Women Lawyers’ Association, and a certified member of the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand Inc (INFINZ).

Representing a former senior executive in relation to claims brought by a former employer alleging accounting irregularities (NZ).

Successfully defending Goldman Sachs in a US$1.2 billion claim brought by the Libyan Investment Authority arising from a series of derivative equity transactions, featuring allegations of undue influence and unconscionable bargain (UK).

Advising a Nigerian oil and natural gas producer in relation to a dispute concerning a Nigerian Oil Mining Lease (UK).

Advising British American Tobacco in connection with its judicial review of the UK Government’s proposals for the plain packaging of tobacco products (UK).
