Jonathan is a problem solver. He has significant experience in resolving disputes and understands what his clients want.
Jonathan advises on commercial, local government, property and insurance disputes. He has a great deal of experience litigating and resolving issues for a range of clients, including local authorities, large corporates, and public bodies. Jonathan regularly appears in the High Court and also has also appeared in the senior courts.
The best way to resolve problems is stop them arising in the first place and Jonathan works with clients to identify and mitigate risks, liabilities and reputational issues. He has conducted many mediations with his clients.
Jonathan has spent time practising in the UK, and as in-house counsel, and understands local government and businesses’ requirements for strategic legal and risk management advice in a commercial context.

Acting for local authorities in structural or weathertightness litigation and providing Building Act or regulatory advice.

Insurance
Acting for insurers and for insureds (including local authorities) on coverage issues, and litigating numerous contractual, negligence, and statutory liability claims.
Financial services
Acting for banks and financial institutions on regulatory issues, fraud claims and class actions.
