Simpson Grierson has an exciting opportunity to join our team of planning, environment and local government experts, based in our thriving Wellington office.  Our planning and environment team operates nationally, and is involved in many of the country's significant resource management projects, complex local government and resource management litigation, and at the cutting edge of legislative reform.

We are looking for a Senior Lawyer with experience in resource management, public and/or local government law. The role will involve supporting a wide range of clients, including developers, corporates, central and local government, and others.  It will provide opportunities to be involved in high profile urban development and infrastructure projects, housing developments, freshwater management, strategic policy development and planning, and RMA/local government litigation. 

Our team has an exciting line up of projects for 2026 and beyond, and is gearing up to provide support through the impending reforms.  We can offer high levels of support from a cohesive, engaging team and partners and other senior lawyers who are all experts in their field.
