We are looking for intermediate property solicitors with 3+ years’ PQE to join both the Auckland and Wellington offices of Simpson Grierson’s leading Real Estate Practice Group and work at the centre of some of New Zealand’s most exciting development and infrastructure projects. Our national team is heavily involved in the firm’s market-leading infrastructure practice, advising clients on the property aspects of some of the country’s most significant commercial transactions and development projects.
About the work
You’ll work alongside highly regarded specialists and gain exposure to a broad range of high-quality property and projects work, including:
- major developments
- infrastructure projects including transport, water, energy and data centres
- commercial transactions and due diligence
- complex acquisitions, disposals, leasing and subdivisions
You’ll advise a diverse client base, including major commercial, international, mana whenua and central and local government clients.
About you
Your experience may include land development, acquisitions and disposals, infrastructure projects, leasing, overseas investment, public works and government, Māori land, forestry, agribusiness or broader commercial property work. We welcome candidates from private practice, in-house environments, or those returning to the New Zealand market after time overseas.
You’ll be proactive, curious and commercially minded, with strong transactional capability and the confidence to manage a busy and varied workload. You’ll enjoy building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues, communicating clearly, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing and supportive team environment.
