Nina is a specialist in complex litigation with a particular focus on financial markets and company law, shareholder disputes, regulatory investigations, class actions and litigation funding, and breaches of contract.

She also has expertise in competition law issues arising in business acquisitions, and regularly assists clients to obtain clearance for transactions from the Commerce Commission.

Nina has extensive experience acting for corporate clients, directors, and regulators in the resolution of large commercial disputes, including through court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation.

She provides clear, considered, and commercially focused advice to her clients, and is a trusted advocate for them. 

Nina is a member of the Law and Economics Association of New Zealand (LEANZ); the Competition Law & Policy Institute of New Zealand (CLPINZ); and the Auckland Women Lawyers’ Association.

She is also admitted as a Solicitor, England and Wales (non-practising).

Acting in proceedings against former NZX-listed CBL Corporation Limited (In Liquidation) and its directors and chief financial officer alleging breaches of IPO disclosure and continuous disclosure obligations in the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.

Defending a class action proceeding by shareholders in former NZX-listed Intueri Education Group Limited alleging breaches of IPO disclosure obligations in the Securities Act 1978.

Acted in a £700 million claim against Electronic Data Systems (now part of Hewlett Packard) for fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of contract and negligent misstatement arising out of the installation of a new customer relationship management system.
