Sarah is an experienced public sector and resource management lawyer, specialising in large infrastructure projects and housing developments.

Sarah has expertise at all stages in the planning process for large projects. At the early stages, she frequently advises clients on planning and environmental queries that arise during the site selection and due diligence processes. Further down the track, Sarah has expertise in consenting large projects under both the Resource Management Act 1991 and Covid-19 Recovery (Fast-track Consenting) Act 2020, together with private plan change applications to rezone land.

Sarah works with a wide range of corporate clients, local authorities and CCOs, providing advice on resource management and local government legal issues.

She has expertise in coordinating the application and hearing preparation processes and managing large teams of expert witnesses. She appears in Council hearings and before the Environment Court and High Court on resource consent applications, private plan changes, district plan and designation appeals and judicial review and declaration proceedings. Sarah also provides advice on environmental due diligence for commercial transactions

Sarah has also worked as a planning lawyer in the United Kingdom, with a practice focussed predominantly on major infrastructure projects.
