Good Governance: Key challenges facing boards, focuses on the most pressing concerns and challenges facing boards today, and how in-house lawyers can effectively support and guide board members to navigate them.

Session 1, hosted by Corporate Partner, Anastasiya Gamble, delves into the evolving landscape of board responsibilities and the pivotal role in-house lawyers play in effective board governance. This session:

  • reviews the impact of recent case law on board members' roles and responsibilities,
  • provides practical insights on how in-house lawyers can empower board decision-making, 
  • discusses the critical role of in-house counsel in navigating legal risks, and 
  • sets the stage for the key risks to be addressed in our upcoming sessions.
