Bronwyn Heenan

Bronwyn is a senior associate in the firm’s employment law group in the Wellington office. She has significant experience in all aspects of employment law with particular expertise in disciplinary and termination matters (including conducting investigations), change management processes, drafting employment agreements and policies, and health and safety.

Bronwyn regularly attends mediations and represents clients in the Employment Relations Authority, the Employment Court and District Court.  Bronwyn acts for clients in the public and private sectors as well as Local Government.

• Solid Energy (NZ) - implementing business wide redundancy, advising on employment agreements and personal grievance claims
• Dong Won Fisheries Co - advice on multi-million dollar arrears of wages claim 
• Jardboranir HF - defence of a prosecution commenced by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment following a serious near miss incident 
• Ministry of Social Development - advice in relation to various disciplinary issues 
• Tait - advice in relation to restructuring matters and personal grievances 
• University of Auckland - representation in the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court 
• Various clients - personal grievance claims, including attending mediations and representing clients in the Employment Relations Authority 
• Various clients - conducting investigations into complex workplace issues such as bullying, harassment and incompatibility
