Catherine is a corporate, commercial and financing expert, with specialist expertise in the infrastructure, energy and major projects sectors.
Catherine has extensive domestic and international experience, including acting on complex commercial/concession arrangements, brownfields M&A transactions and greenfields infrastructure and energy projects.
She has acted for a variety of private and public sector clients, including infrastructure funds, superannuation funds, insurance funds, private equity, corporates, government entities, investment banks and institutional debt providers.
Catherine has acted on most of the New Zealand public private partnerships to date, including acting for the Crown in relation to the Transmission Gully PPP, the schools and prison PPPs and for bidders in relation to the current Northland Corridor PPP and Christchurch Men’s Prison PPP procurements.
Catherine worked in global firm Allen & Overy LLP’s Tier-1 ranked Projects, Energy and Infrastructure team for six years in London before joining Simpson Grierson. She also worked at another leading law firm in New Zealand previously and has spent time seconded to The Treasury New Zealand.
Catherine is a committee member of INFINZ Christchurch.
