Rebecca is a senior employment lawyer and a member of the firm’s Board of Management.

She advises on the full range of employment law issues, including restructures, whistleblowing, personal grievances, discrimination matters, restraints of trade, privacy issues, senior executive appointments and departures, and disciplinary and performance processes.

Her work spans many of New Zealand’s major sectors including health, dairy, education, local government, transport and freight, banking, building, and retail, and she has gained further insight through secondments in the banking and construction industries. This enables her to give advice that is commercial and robust.

Rebecca regularly represents clients in mediation and appears before the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court. She successfully completed the Association of Workplace Investigators Training Institute and is a certificate holder. This means Rebecca is able to undertake robust and impartial workplace investigations and cultural reviews.

She is a trustee of the Fletcher Building Employee Education Fund and contributes to the legal profession as a member of the New Zealand Law Society’s Employment Law Committee and through lobbying for reform of the Holidays Act 2003, reflecting her familiarity with the challenges employers face in applying the legislation.
