Edward is an experienced commercial and projects lawyer, specialising in the commercial and financing elements of major projects in the infrastructure sector.
He has significant domestic and internal experience advising a wide range of market participants, including public bodies, banks, institutional investors, sponsors, corporates and investment funds, on projects (including PPP transactions) in the transportation, infrastructure, social housing and energy sectors.
Edward also has experience advising clients on complex commercial contracting matters, procurement, mergers and acquisitions, and general shareholder and corporate matters.

Lodestone Energy Limited
Advising Lodestone Energy Limited in connection with the holdco financing provided to it by funds managed by IFM Investors Pty. Ltd in respect of its $300 million procurement and construction of five solar farms in New Zealand.
Eastern Porirua Regeneration Project
Advising Porirua City Council on the funding and delivery of infrastructure in connection with the Eastern Porirua Regeneration Project, the first project to benefit from the Crown’s Housing Acceleration Fund.
Infrastructure Acceleration Fund
Advising Kāinga Ora on the funding and housing outcomes agreements with multiple territorial authorities in respect of the funding of infrastructure projects from the Infrastructure Acceleration Fund.
NZ Bus
Advising the underbidder on the acquisition of the shares in NZ Bus from Next Capital.
UK West Coast Rail
Advising Rock Rail West Coast Plc (joint venture between Rock Rail and Aberdeen Standard Investments as sponsors) on £350 million financing, procurement and leasing of rolling stock manufactured by Hitachi Rail Limited for the UK West Coast rail franchise.
UK Wales & Borders Rail
Advising funder syndicate (comprised of banks and institutional investors) on £900 million financing provided to joint venture between SMBC Leasing and Equitix Investment Management Ltd for the procurement and leasing of multiple fleets of rolling stock for the UK Wales & Borders rail franchise.
UK Military Flying Training Service
Advising Affinity Flying Training Services on financing and commercial elements of the UK Military Flying Training Services fixed wing PPP transaction, delivering fixed wing training capacity to the UK Ministry of Defence.
UK Air-to-Air Refuelling
