Anastasiya is a corporate partner specialising in complex, high-value M&A transactions, particularly those involving cross-border execution, carve-outs and regulated sectors. She advises private equity sponsors, listed companies and international investors on acquisitions, divestments and strategic investments in New Zealand.
She leads transactions that require careful coordination across stakeholders, jurisdictions and regulatory frameworks. Her experience includes the separation of businesses from large organisations, acquisitions of infrastructure and logistics platforms, and transactions involving financial services, healthcare and other regulated industries. Anastasiya works closely with clients to structure and execute transactions in a way that manages risk and supports their commercial objectives.
Her recent work includes advising on the entry of a global restructuring firm into the New Zealand market, the acquisition of a flagship Auckland hotel asset, and a significant forestry divestment involving cross-border execution and operational complexity.
Anastasiya won Young Private Practice Lawyer of the Year in 2022 at the New Zealand Law Awards, and was a finalist in 2019.
Anastasiya is a council member of New Zealand Private Capital, and a member of the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand Inc (INFINZ).

EVT Limited’s acquisition of QT Auckland
Advised EVT Limited on its NZ$87.5 million acquisition of QT Auckland, a flagship premium hotel asset in Auckland’s Viaduct precinct. Structured EVT’s transition from operator to owner, including transfer of the lease and operating arrangements and managing governance complexities associated with a sovereign fund vendor.
Qube Holdings’ acquisition of Nexus Logistics
Advised Qube Holdings on its acquisition of Nexus Logistics from Port of Auckland, supporting the expansion of its trans-Tasman logistics platform. Led transaction execution, including structuring the asset acquisition and long-term leaseback and negotiating complex port and stakeholder arrangements.
Rayonier’s divestment of its stake in Matariki Forestry Group
Advised Rayonier on the US$710 million sale of its 77% interest in Matariki Forestry Group, one of New Zealand’s most significant forestry transactions. Acted as lead adviser to the seller, managing vendor due diligence, transaction execution and cross-border coordination to deliver a clean exit from a large-scale forestry platform.
